More house pictures

Dining room view from the kitchen...it has a half wall that will have shelving the rest of the way up...something decorative to give this room more spunk!
Dining Room with tray ceiling...view 2
Awkward view of master bedroom...to the right is the walk-in closet, bath, etc... Also trayed ceiling
Office/Study/Extra Bedroom
Kitchen w/pantry...the half wall will have a bar
Living Room with double tray ceiling...I love this room

As you can see, the house is coming along nicely. I didn't take pictures of the other extra bedroom, laundry room, bonus room, or the bathrooms...some of the angles make it difficult to photograph. This gives you a decent idea of what it looks like as of now! I can't wait for the mudding/taping to be done so we can start painting and give our home a little life! One month and 2 days till we move in! Ahhhh! I'm so pumped!

This shows off his sexy sweaty-ness! Maybe one day he'll show off his pretty blue eyes! Below are his cute brothers, Stephen and Davin! What studs!

Summer has arrived!

So last weekend we had great fun out on the lake with the family! Danielle and the kids came down from Ohio and we were able to enjoy the sunshine out on the lake. Kelsee, Jason, Haley, Cameron, Kris, Savannah, Kennedy, Mom and Dad came too! Kris was the big hit with his boat and the kids all wanted to ride, ride, and ride again! I water skied for the first time and after I was done, Graydon told me that he wanted to "water skate"!!!!
Kris had two softball games last night and although his team didn't win, the boys had a great time! Deatrah and Phillip came to watch which gave me in-law bonding time! And...soccer is going really well too! We started dead period today, which means 2 1/2 weeks without any contact with the girls. I just hope they continue to run and practice, that way they don't lose everything they've worked so hard to gain. This should be a great season!

The house is also moving along nicely. Insulation was installed today and the HVAC is almost done. It already looks completely different! Drywall goes up on Thursday and the siding is almost completed (see pictures)!!!! I can barely sleep at night because I'm so excited to move into that darn house!!! I'll continue you to keep you posted! The backside of the house...

I love these girls! Here is a picture of us after we won the best decorated car at the Relay for Life! It's going to be a great season!

Scout Marie Kappes

Wanted to post a picture of my new niece, although she's a few weeks older now! This is Scout on her blessing day, in a custom made gown by Grandma Kappes. Pictured are Hanna (mom), Kody (dad), Harper (big brother), and Scout! What a beautiful family!!!!

I SURVIVED!!!!

I did it! I actually survived! I survived Girls Camp '08 and I am shocked! Despite the extremely high temperatures, thunder/lightning storm madness, 5 mile hike, missing my hubby, massive spiders, stomach aches, and 70 teenage girls, I still survived! And the best part is...I actually enjoyed myself! The girls were wonderful and the adult leaders were a joy to work with! I made quite a few new friends, met the infamous Melanie Mauer (check out my link list to the right and then look at her blog/photos!!!!), caught up with some old friends from the Owingsville stake, and slept on the tallest blow-up mattress I've ever seen! Shew! What a week! I must say though, I'm thrilled to be back in my own bed, with my husband and with all the daily conveniences you so dearly miss when you're "roughin' it".............like air conditioning!

Illustrator Search

Okay...so I may be a little ambitious, but I'm in need of an illustrator! I'm writing (almost finished) with a children's book that I've been planning for about two years and now I need an illustrator to bring it to life. I've already had a few offers, but I'd love to see what's out there! Jen Crowther is sending her artwork oh so soon, and I'm excited to see it! However, in the meantime, if you know an artist or are an artist yourself, let me know! This could be a pretty decent deal! Thank you! Thank you!

Graduation

Stephen is officially a big kid! He graduated last Friday evening from Morgan County High School! A bunch of the family showed up to support him and afterwards we all got together for pizza and good conversation! Below he is pictured with Mamaw and Papaw Nickell, as well as the rest of those in attendance. And...I had to throw in this HOT picture of my hubby! hehehe! All in all, it was a great day!
